Femme en Pleurs by: Picasso Many people have discussed this piece of abstract art as to what the message behind this painting is. This painting, made by Pablo Picasso, has a woman who seems to be happy, but in the middle of the woman’s face it seems as if she is crying. It seems as if that she puts on a façade, but on the inside she sad, scared, or distressed. At this time, I think that Picasso was in a period of depression or confusion with himself. The message itself may be that no matter how happy people may seem on the outside, there is no telling what they may be going through when you don’t see them. BY: Ja'Sun Kennedy |
The dark angel flying through the sky through the ruins of a destroyed city. The angel seeking forgiveness from God representing the common man who has done so much wrong and everything collapsing on him. As the light shines on the angel, there is a possibility of forgiveness in a land of uncertainty. That light represent a gleam of hope for the man, despite his past being horrible and basically being the death of him or something that has held him back for a long time. The dark color of the picture represent the the past of everyone, but as it gets lighter as it gets to the middle of the picture, this represents the bright future they will be able to have if they put themselves on the right path.
