For 90's babies, Disney Channel is a television network that they grew up on. From That' So Raven to Even Stephens, it was a channel that you could always go to for laughter and enjoyment. This time period is known to us now as "Old Disney" because of all of the changes that has been made to Disney Channel like the canceling of these shows and the changing of how Disney Channel is set up. "Old Disney" was family based and had t.v shows very relatable. Mostly all of the shows had families on them with different races like African-American, Hawaiian, Chinese, and Caucasian. This Disney taught life lessons and wasn't just there to make jokes for the little kids to laugh at. Parents, kids, and teenagers all could find entertainment from these past shows. For example, on "That's So Raven", one episode talked about discrimination where they felt that we were not be treated equally. Also, when the school was serving unhealthy meal options. That was an episode on health and fitness being important for everyone. "Lizzie McGuire" showed kids that despite peer pressure and dealing with high school, you can come out victorious if you stay true to yourself. To an extent, New Disney can't compare to some of the characteristics of Old Disney.
